Service Description: Employment rate is the percent of those employed over the total labor force, which consists of civilians at least 16 years old who either had a paid job or were seeking work during the survey period. For Napa County in 2016, there were an estimated 74,804 people in the labor force with 69,893 employed. Employment rates ranged from 88% to 100%. Young and older adults are included in this labor force total and were only excluded if they were not actively searching for work (e.g., full-time students). Those in the armed forces were excluded.
