Abstract:
Spot Elevation Points of the Napa River Watershed Area, 200 foot interval. The area covered by this data is referred to as the Watershed Area because it lies within the Napa River Watershed which is roughly the western half of the county. The data was originally delivered in 12,000 ft x 12,000 ft tiles. These were mosaiced together to create this layer. |
Metadata elements shown with blue text are defined in the Federal Geographic Data Committee's (FGDC) Content Standard for Digital Geospatial Metadata (CSDGM). Elements shown with green text are defined in the ESRI Profile of the CSDGM. Elements shown with a green asterisk (*) will be automatically updated by ArcCatalog. ArcCatalog adds hints indicating which FGDC elements are mandatory; these are shown with gray text.

The Spot Elevation layer is part of the basemap data layers used by the County of Napa. These layers are used for basic applications such as viewing, querying, and map output production. More advanced user applications may focus on planning, public works, spatial analysis, and presentation output.
The DTM data was mapped at a scale of 1" = 200 ft and meets National Map Accuracy standards at this scale. The DTM is based on LiDAR data acquired in May of 2003. The vertical datum is NAVD88.
