This dataset was created by gathering information from the various fire departments found in Napa County as to where their fire jurisdiction is. The jurisdiction identifies who the primarily responsible fire fighting agency when a fire occurs in a given area.

Napa County Fire Boundary has been updated: the LRA Draft Sept 2007 data was used for LRA

Boundaries of the LRA and SRA have been updated according shapefile posted on Cal Fire's website at:
http://frap.fire.ca.gov/projects/SRA_Mapping/SRA_Mapping.html. Changes made by Cal Fire on July 1 of  2013 which were 5,381 acres being transferred from the SRA (state responsibility area) to the LRA (Local Responsibility area).  The areas transferred from SRA to LRA were found mostly along the Silverado trail area between Yountville and St. Helena.
