Abstract:
Map of Napa County Non Watershed area showing slope as derived from 2002 Ortho data. The area covered by this data is referred to as the Non-watershed Area because it lies outside the Napa River Watershed. This is roughly the eastern half of the county.
The DTM data was mapped at a scale of 1" = 400 ft and meets National Map Accuracy standards at this scale and is based on imagery acquired on April 22 & 23, 2002 and was generated photogrammetrically. |

Coverage provides percent slope for lands within Napa County. Percent slope is an environmental factor that affects a number of site parameters including fire spread, fuels, vegetation, soils, and erosion potential.

This layer was created from the DTM produced during the 2002/2003 Orthophotography Project. The area covered by this data is referred to as the Non-Watershed Area which is roughly the eastern half of the county. For data covering the other half of the County please see "Slope derived from 2002 Ortho data Watershed area."
Aerial photography used for the compilation of the DTM data.
This layer was created by building a TIN model using the mass point and breakline shapefiles with 3D Analyst. The TIN was then exported to ESRI grid format using ArcToolBox and linear interpolation. 3D Analyst was then used to convert the elevation grid to a slope grid measured in percent. A 25 foot cell size was used for this layer.
Converted download file to a file geodatabase containing a raster instead of an .e00 export file.
