Orthophoto data released to public through our Data Catalog. Data includes 1 foot and 6 inch resolution, natural color and color infrared imagery.

Board of Supervisor's approves update to Data Distribution fees. Data will now be provided on DVD for $24.00 or external hard drive for $225.00. Downloads from our Data Catalog are still free of charge.

Napa County GIS and the Environmental Management Department are awarded an ICMA Environmental Land Use Control Tracking grant. Funding from this grant will be used to upgrade the Hazardous Materials web application.

The City of Napa and the County kick-off the implementation of a new 911 CAD/RMS program from Intergraph. The new system will be tightly integrated with the County's GIS.

Completion of American Canyon parcel re-alignment. Much of the parcel layer for American Canyon was re-drafted from recorded documents to better align with the 2002 orthos.

Assessor's Mapping Application is released for the Assessor's staff. This application provides the appraisal staff with desktop access to all the imagery layers in the GIS.

The Parcel Summary Application received numerous upgrades including new capabilities and several new Data Elements.

11/23/2004

Permit Map application is released for the Agricultural Commissioner's Office. This application allows AgComm staff to query and display parcel and field boundary data. There is also an error reporting feature that sends maps that need correction to AgComm's GIS staff.

Version 2 of the Data Catalog is released. The new version has a direct tie to the metadata in our ArcSDE data warehouse.

Napa County GIS completes upgrade to version 9.0 of ESRI's ArcGIS product suite.

Napa County GIS is one of 10 California State Association of Counties (CSAC) Challenge Award winners for 2004. The award was given for the use of GIS in the creation of County Service Area #4. See the Napa Valley Register for more details.

Sampling Grid application released for the Agricultural Commissioner's Office. This application allows staff to easily produce a sampling map and replaces the time-consuming manual process used before.
