The GIS provided by The Information Center for the Enviornment, UC Davis was imported to a geodatabase. The data was clipped to the Napa County boundary. The data can be connected to the Napa County Biological Resources database. For more information see the biological resources section of the Baseline Data Report. A series of look-up tables that provide generalized classifications were generated and are included in the geodatabase.

Intern manually inspected and updated polygons that had changed due to 1) previous layer updates (ag and wtr_bodies), and 2) areas that had clearly been converted from vegetation to developed area using the 2010 NAIP imagery as a base. On a part-time, internship-based schedule, the process took from approximately Nov. 2011 to Jan. 2012.

Created "BURN_FLAG" field and performed a union between the veg layer and CalFire layers "Fire_RxBurns" and "Fire_Perimeters" To identify veg polygons that had been partially or completely subjected to a fire event since the baseline year of 1993.

To indicate this change in the attributes, a note was added to the "COMMENT_" field as "vineyard - 2016 NAIP edit"
